Dr Daniel Fung is a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist and Chief of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Institute of Mental Health. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor with the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and the Division of Psychology, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, and the Director of Clinical Quality at the Institute of Mental Health. He has received several awards including the Singapore Children’s Society Silver Service Award 2007, Ministry of Health’s Health Manpower Development Plan Fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, 1999 and Clinical Research Fellowship from University of Toronto, 2000 and the Singapore Psychiatric Association Book Prize, 1996.

Trained in Singapore and Toronto, Canada, Dr Fung has authored and co-authored several books including the hugely successful, Help Your Child to Cope: Understanding Childhood Stress. Dr Fung has a special interest in the emotional health of children and has been working with angry, anxious and worried youths since 1996.

Dr Fung is married and has five wonderful children.
